Tropical Storm Fay

Today, I drove into my territory and into Tropical Storm Fay. We had yesterday off as a precaution, but Orlando didn't get hit as bad as the coastal area (also known as the Space Coast since it includes the Kennedy Space Center). I drove to Melbourne today. It took me awhile since I hydro-planed on the highway and pulled of at the next exit. Finally got there and I drove around the city to get to my customers and went through some deep water. A few times, water was seeping into the car at the bottom of the door. I was lucky to get through the flooded areas. Meanwhile, some seriously heavy rain was coming down. I found out later that they had 15-21 inches of rain, depending on the area. I left the territory early since most people were not in the offices today. I'm supposed to go back there tomorrow. You can see from this radar map how the worst part of the weather was the location that I was in...

Holy cow, that's a LOT of rain. I've been watching this one because I have an uncle who lives in Florida but I didn't realize you guys were getting that much precipitation. Hope everything passes soon and things go back to normal.

Thanks. It's a strange storm since it's avoiding some areas and drenching others. It's also very slow moving. I think it's finally moving out of our area, but it's leaving mucho flood warnings. Nicorette's school is closed again today, which complicates my working. Hope your uncle's ok.
