Fun things to try on the web, cool places to go, interesting photos, movie and comic reviews, and whatever I feel like, since this blog is mine. THIS BLOG IS MINE! heh, heh.
Saw the new Matt Damon movie today after a long day at Cedar Point watching little Nikita (not her real name) ride the kiddie rides (company picnic). Great movie, though still not as good as Spider Man 2 for summer movies. But it was a nice sequel to the first flick. Looking forward to the next segment. Also might have to buy the 4th book (not by Ludlum, since he's um, dead).
Just read the second issue of this mini-series and I think it's great. It is definitely meant for adults since some of the heroes don't necessarily act "good" and some of the bad guys are severely twisted...but definitely recommended. Got a lot of comics this week - big week. Will report on more later.
Finally saw Spider-Man 2 this evening. I think it was probably the best comic book-based movie I've ever seen. I kept thinking that it was over and then they'd throw something else in that made the movie even better. Most movies have average endings, especially when they are trying to establish a series. This one did a great job. Even with some changes to the comic book version of events, I think they improved on the established stories. I am definitely looking forward to the next movie and to the DVD of this one. Happy 4th of July!
Saw Dodgeball last night. Tried to go to Spider-man 2 but of course it was sold out. I had heard good things about Dodgeball and tried it. I thought it was very funny. Nothing fantastic, but a decent comedy. Even Ben Stiller, who I don't always enjoy, was very good. Vince Vaughn is always good, but did the straight man bit well. He had to be more subdued than normal and he did a great job. Now, I just have to find time for Spider-man 2.
