Rosby's

Click the link above to find out about the raspberry picking at Rosby's. They had a nice write-up in the Plain Dealer recently. We picked strawberries earlier in the season and this past weekend, we got raspberries. Little cellphone girl was still painted from our visit to playhouse square the prior day (butterfly girl). She enjoyed the tire swing and the eating of the raspberries. The picking season goes deep into October and it's located near 480 and 176 in Brooklyn (I think). Check out their site for directions. Fun time...

Sippy's new video blog

Here's a cool blog by a cool chick. She just started doing a video blog instead of a regular old blog. She's got some cool films she's done and is working on a few more. They are weird in a cool way. Check it out. Click on the link, not the photo.

Cake with Blue Icing is the best

We were at a birthday party for little cowgirl's 1 year old step-cousin in Strongsville and the cake was a hit...

That's good ice cream...

If you've noticed that there's a google ad strip below the blog name, you've probably seen some ads for nicotine patches and now for items related to dog liver problems. I emailed google since these items didn't necessarily fit the blog theme (if there is one) and received in response the answer to my question. These ads are related to key words in the blog writing. So with that in mind, allow me to place some key words in my blog. Free Airfare, Free travel, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, Disney, Comic Books, Movies, DVD, Animation, Animation art, pharmaceutical jobs. There! Now, let's see if the ads change to something more eye pleasing. Not that it matters - no one clicks on those anyway, I think. But, I'd like to see less of the old ads and more of my interests. By the way, the photo above is another from our weekend in NJ.

One more time: Free Airfare, Free travel, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, Disney, Comic Books, Movies, DVD, Animation, Animation art, pharmaceutical jobs. Now, I'm having fun!!!!!!!

Here's the original email reply from Google:

Hello Nicotine,

The ads displayed on a web page are determined automatically by our system based
on the content of that page.

Currently, the information on your site is fairly generic and not targeted
towards a specific topic. As the name 'Nicotine' is mentioned repeatedly on your
site, AdSense thinks that due to a lack of other clear topics, 'smoking' is the
topic of your page.

I'd recommend that you include more text-based content about specific targeted
topics on your website, including complete sentences and paragraphs, to assist
our crawlers in gathering information about your pages and determining relevant
ads to display. Please note that it may take up to 1 or 2 weeks before any
changes you make have an effect on your ad targeting.

For additional questions, please visit our AdSense Support site at

We'd also like to encourage you to let us know how we can improve our customer
support. Please take a few minutes to fill out our brief survey at

Your input is greatly appreciated.

Peach Picking in NJ

Over the Labor Day weekend, the child and I went to New Jersey to visit Grandparents, cousins, an Aunt and Uncle. One of the highlights (besides watching a new Strawberry Shortcake DVD) was going to a nice farm and picking fruit. We picked peaches, raspberries, blackberries and ate them the rest of the weekend. In one of these photos, the child is speaking to the wife/mother who was taking care of the ailing Chewbacca. He's doing better and is due to see the vet yet again this Tuesday. The other photo is of child with Grandpa.

Chewbacca in the Doggie Hospital

I visited Chewie today twice. First, to bring him some food and a blanket from home since he's going to be at the vet's until Saturday (mostly to be sure he doesn't rip stitches). Also, he isn't eating as well as he should since he might be feeling down without his family around. Then, wife, child and I went back to visit and give him more treats. He seemed to be doing fine, though he has an I.V. of all sorts of good stuff attached to his paw. He perked up when we visited and we went for a short walk outside, all the while, the vet tech was holding his I.V. Here are some photos (cell phone pix) of Chewie Doggie at the vet hospital.

Also, I will be offline (checking blog but unable to post, most likely) through the weekend. Child and I are going to NJ to visit grandparents on my side. The Cleveland airport should be very afraid...
