Viva Las Vegas

I have had a long week (or year, depending). So when I found out I have a 2 day meeting in Las Vegas at the Mandelay Bay, I thought I must take a few extra days and enjoy myself. I leave Saturday for a very long weekend (and much needed). I'm staying at Excalibur (a more affordable option for a solo traveler). It also only a few buildings down from the Mandelay Bay. It's been about 116 degrees this week there, so it should be interesting. But, my goal is to relax, sleep, gamble, eat, exercise and maybe catch a show. Also, I think it's a nice place to people watch...

I will have my computer, but I doubt I'll be posting. So if you have any suggestions for shows, restaurants, etc, leave them for me sooner than later. Have a great weekend!

Dude,
The Kman from KSU, B-Stone, etc. Finally re-upped with the GoogleBlogger thing. Somehow, it deleted my previous ID. That's why I haven't posted in ages (well, that and apathy). Glad to see life is going well (kids look great, as does the wifey with the #1 denomination!). Things are cool here. Leaving tomorrow for Long Island and then Manhattan with the wife and 2 young 'uns. Grandma's 90th BDay party on LI, and then a day and half in Manhattan. Should be cool. Hey, what's the comment I read a few spots back about problems with co-worker(s) ? Anyhow, do a search on YouTube for hoyvenon to see some of my vids of the family and other stuff. A legend in my own mind. Later!

Oh yeah, shows in Vegas (haven't you already been there a dozen times???).....we enjoyed Lance Burton for magic....the Jubilee show (can't recall if Bally's or Caesar's) for variety music/dance and BOOBIES (in a tame way)! Outdoor fountains at Bellagio? Ehhhh...not worth the wait. Cirque du Soleil....pricey, but a great show (so many variations out there). I'm sure the Blue Man Group is playing somewhere out there.....saw them in Boston and got a kick out of them. Penn and Teller is always a sure bet if they're in town. If they still do the canopy light show in the old downtown (Binion's, etc), it's not bad if you're going there for other stuff as well (lower minimums at the tables in the older casinos there). That's it....that's the list.

Have a great trip! If you play the slot machines, the ones that surround the cars you can win are good luck. I didn't win a car, but my mom won 50 bucks last time we went.
