New Orleans fountain
I'm at the airport waiting to head home. Took this today, near the river.
Fun things to try on the web, cool places to go, interesting photos, movie and comic reviews, and whatever I feel like, since this blog is mine. THIS BLOG IS MINE! heh, heh.
I'm leaving in the morning for New Orleans for the weekend. I'm going solo, no kids or spouse. I may have internet access, but I will try to resist the temptation. Anyway, here's a shot from tonight's bath time. I think it's a cute shot. He has his little basketball hoop next to him and his basketballs in his hands. I can tell he's getting sick of the photo crazy dad...
He has much better moves than I do...Note: his shirt says "I still live with my parents"

Picked up Nico Jr from day care. The ladies have left us to go to Savannah GA for the weekend. So the boys (Nico and I) are planning on hitting the strip clubs, smoking a few cigars, sipping on some top shelf tequila, and apparently playing with a stuffed toy. His personality is showing. He is quite a jokester, especially when he's eating. He'll show you a piece of food, offer it to you, then slap it in his mouth. Makes me laugh.
Nicotine Jr and I went for a bike ride today. He rides in front on a special bike seat with his little helmet. Seems to enjoy it. Usually, I just go around the block a few times, but today I grabbed his water bottle and rode off. We went a mile or so up the road and found an orange grove near where we live. It's not open to the public, unfortunately, but the smell is fantastic. We have a few trees in our backyard, but they are small and only have a handful of blossoms. All in time. We don't have fruit on ours, but these were packed with oranges. I hope they don't go to waste. The land was for sale and I was tempted to check into it, quit my job and start up a pick your own orange grove. I think it'd work. Any investors?
Went to a birthday party (my wife's manager's one year old) that was amazing. Nicorette rode a pony and enjoyed the food...

This young lady was one of Nicorette's favorites. It was a great costume. I'm going to have to try to convince Nicorette to dress up next year...
I saw Adrian Pasdar from Heroes at the Megacon as he walked by me. I didn't get to talk to him, but I was glad he had made the time to come to the show. He seemed shorter than I thought he was, but I really like him on the show...
This is another TV/movie actress that Nicorette and I spoke to. She is on Battlestar Galactica and Kyle XY. She is also in a soon to be released movie called 88 minutes with Al Pacino. Leah was very nice and answered some of my questions about Battlestar Galactica. They have a very fun time on the set, which contrasts with how intense the scenes are. Also, she will be returning for the new season. She was very sweet with Nicorette, who turned a little shy with all the TV/movie personalities we saw. I enjoyed talking with her and look forward to the new season of Battlestar Galactica.
While at Megacon, Nicorette (age 6) and I talked to Amanda Conner for awhile. She is an extremely successful comic book artist who has been doing the comic book thing for awhile. She was busy drawing a sketch of Batgirl for a fan and talked to Nicorette while she drew. I was glad Nicorette could see a woman who was successful with her art, since Nicorette likes her art projects. In fact, Amanda was so nice, she loaned Nicorette some markers to draw while they spoke. At the end, Nicorette signed her art for Amanda. Amanda wanted to give Nicorette something from her table (of her work) but realized that most of it was adult oriented. I thanked her - since the experience of spending time with her was more than enough for us. Very nice lady! And it was Nicorette's highlight of the day. Even beat out the sword fighting. Note: this photo was found on Flickr. I haven't downloaded mine yet from the camera.
I met the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer while I was at Megacon with Nicorette (age 6) this weekend. She was very sweet and asked Nicorette if she enjoyed being a big sister. I asked about her little one (she has a one year old son) and she said he was doing well. I think she loves being a mom and was glad to talk about something other than movies, TV and Playboy.
Playtime...Sunday morning. Nicorette and I went to MegaCon, a comic book/SciFi convention after this. Great time. I'll blog on it later.
