Onwards Southwards

I mentioned this before, but in case anyone wonders about my lack of postings, I have been preparing for my trip to Orlando (a transfer within my company that I requested). I am more stressed than I have ever been with all that's going on. I will try to post once I'm down there with easy internet access, but it's likely to be a few weeks. I leave tomorrow morning (Memorial Day) and have about 1000 miles to drive by Tuesday evening (meeting with my new manager). So know that I WILL be back...and thank you for reading.

Packing is Not fun

We are packing up the house and putting most that we can in storage. Since I have to be gone in a few weeks, that should make it easier to paint (we're paying someone), put the house on the market (with realtors), sell the place and move. So now, we're trying to find my wife a transfer. In the meantime, I've got a hotel while I find an apartment (about a week). Then it's house hunting time for me...

Oh, and I'm learning two new products. We're having fun. When I go to sleep, I pretty much pass out from the exhaustion. I must be more out of shape than I thought...

One fun thing coming up is Nicorette's dance recital. At least it's a bright spot for us. She'll get to wear a cute little outfit and do the 4 year old version's of ballet, tap, etc. From the stage, I'm sure that all the kids will see is the parents with the camcorders up...

Chris is gone. Damn. He's the only one whose album I would have purchased. Figured that the rocker wouldn't win. They never have. Maybe that's why I liked Rockstar: INXS better. Better music, better singers, more interesting show...Though Katherine is attractive...she should probably win.

The Family at Disney

They have a new thing at World of Disney at Downtown Disney Marketplace. It's called Bippety Bobbity Boutique. They take the little Princess and do her hair (not cutting), makeup, nails, etc...It's relatively inexpensive (unless you add in a costume) and it's very cute. Here's the end result for little Nicorette...

Big News

Can you guess where I'm moving? I got a transfer within my company. Found out today. I have to be there later this month. Very rapid process. Guesses? It's not in Ohio...there's your hint.

Update

Hello All (or probably Hello Few):

Just an update on a few things. First, I did not get the promotion to West Palm Beach. However, I have a possible transfer in the works so we'll see how that turns out. Second, we had a great trip to Florida for a week and a half vacation. Still tired from it, but a good time. Only one bad incident at Disney World. An old woman in a runaway wheelchair plowed into little Nicorette. The wheelchair lady was out of control going down a hill and hit her before we knew what was happening. She is ok - bruised a little but she still had a great time at the parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, MGM-Studios, SeaWorld). We stayed in a timeshare, which is a great way to travel. Two large bedrooms, kitchen, living room, screened in porch - I could probably live like that...It was bigger than apartments I've had in my single life.

I'll be posting some photos from our trip by the weekend. I have some work stuff to do this week and won't be able to invest the time into downloading the photos from the camera...
