New Car

Do you like our new car? Nicotine Jr and Nicorette seem to like it. Sorry for the lack of blogging. Things have been busy and some stress. My wife had to resign her job since our company pretty much screwed us over. After I received a transfer, they changed policy and made it impossible for her to transfer. So, she has been on extended (unpaid) medical leave for awhile and that ran out. Unfortunately, it's been challenging to find something good - since the industry is downsizing. Hopefully, something good will happen soon since our income was pretty much cut in half with her out of work. If not, we might all be driving this new car...

Ran a 5k

Wow, I actually did well. My goal was to break 30 minutes (a little better than 10 minute miles) and I got under 26 minutes. I finished 2nd in my age group (and yes, there were more than 2 in my age group) and I didn't die at the end. I got a 2nd place medal and won a raffle prize of a 1 hr massage (given to the spouse). I am so motivated to improve from the time I got (about 8 1/2 minute miles) that I'll probably work out again this evening. And I think I lost more weight but that could be from stress. However, that's a different story...
